    Om Prakash Chouhan’s rock-solid final day earns him the title at J&K Open 2023 presented by J&K Tourism

    Chouhan bags second win of the season, extends lead in TATA Steel PGTI Ranking

    Om Prakash Chouhan of Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, produced a rock-solid final round performance of three-under 69 to come home the victor by three shots at a total of 11-under 277 at the Rs. 50 lakh J&K Open 2023 presented by J&K Tourism played at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC).

    Chouhan (71-70-67-69), who picked up his second title of the season and a prize money cheque worth Rs. 7,50,000, further extended his lead in the TATA Steel PGTI Ranking as his season’s earnings moved to Rs. 79,03,009. Om Prakash now enjoys a lead of over Rs. 23 lakh over his nearest rival Aman Raj in the PGTI’s money list.

    TATA Steel PGTI Ranking leader Om Prakash Chouhan of Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, fired a five-under 67, the day’s lowest round, to move into a one-shot lead in round three at a total of eight-under 208 and announce himself as a leading contender at the J&K Open 2023 presented by J&K Tourism being played at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC).

    Kapil Kumar surges ahead in round two

    Delhi’s Kapil Kumar shot the day’s joint lowest score of four-under 68 in round two of the J&K Open 2023 presented by J&K Tourism to surge ahead by two shots as his total moved to seven-under 137 at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC).

    Chandigarh’s Akshay Sharma, the overnight joint leader, slipped to second place at five-under 139 following his 71 on Thursday.

    Delhi’s Harshjeet Singh Sethie (71) was placed third at four-under 140 while TATA Steel PGTI Ranking leader Om Prakash Chouhan (70) of Mhow was a further shot back in fourth position.
