    Yuvraj Singh Sandhu stamps his authority with resounding seven-shot win at J&K Open 2022 presented by J&K Tourism

    Yuvraj Singh Sandhu of Chandigarh stamped his authority with a resounding seven-shot win at the Rs. 40 lakh J&K Open 2022 presented by J&K Tourism played at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course.

    Yuvraj (69-70-65-71), the overnight leader by four shots, shot a steady one-under 71 in the last round to total 13-under 275 for the tournament and claim his fourth PGTI win and third title this season. Sandhu, who bagged the winner’s cheque worth Rs. 6 lakh, consolidated himself in second position on the PGTI Order of Merit.  

    Bengaluru’s Khalin Joshi (70-68-70-74) secured the runner-up spot at six-under 282 after firing a 74 in round four.

    Yuvraj Singh Sandhu dominated round three with a fabulous seven-under 65, the tournament’s best round so far, to race into a commanding four-shot lead at the J&K Open 2022 presented by J&K Tourism being played at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course.

    Chandigarh lad Yuvraj (69-70-65), a three-time winner on the PGTI, had a three-day total of 12-under 204. He thus moved up one spot from his overnight second position.

    Sandhu’s nearest challenger was Bengaluru’s Khalin Joshi (70-68-70), the halfway leader, who struck an error-free 70 on Friday to be placed second at eight-under 208.

    Bengaluru’s Khalin Joshi endured the extremely humid conditions in round two of the J&K Open 2022 presented by J&K Tourism to produce the day’s best score, a top-notch four-under 68, to move up two spots and take a one-shot lead at six-under 138 at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course.

    Chandigarh’s Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, the first round joint leader, continued to be in contention with a resolute 70 that saw him close the day in second place at five-under 139.

    Chandigarh’s Yuvraj Singh Sandhu and Delhi’s Arjun Prasad enjoyed the joint lead at the end of round one of the J&K Open 2022 presented by J&K Tourism as the PGTI made its debut at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course.

    On a high-scoring day which produced only nine under-par scores, Yuvraj and Arjun, who were playing in the same group in round one, struck scores of three-under 69 to lead the 126-man field by a margin of one shot.

    The five players tied in third place at two-under 70 were Delhi’s Shamim Khan, Chandigarh’s Harendra Gupta, Bengaluru’s Khalin Joshi, Lucknow’s Sanjeev Kumar and Bangladesh’s Jamal Hossain.
