Gurugram-based Manu (66-73-69-73), PGTI Order of Merit leader and local lad Yuvraj Sandhu (72-69-70-70) and twenty-one-year-old Shubham Jaglan (71-69-71-70), who made his PGTI debut this week, ended the regulation 72 holes with matching totals of seven-under 281 to take the match into a playoff. Seventeen-year-old rookie Manoj (69-71-67), who hails from Bengaluru, took his total to nine-under 207 on day three that gave him a one-shot lead.

Local lad Akshay Sharma returned a two-under 70 to join Manu Gandas in the clubhouse lead on day two of the inaugural Trident Open, an INR 1 crore event, being played at the Chandigarh Golf Club.
Akshay (69-70) totalled five-under 139 after 36 holes to lead the field along with Manu (66-73).
The second round could not be completed on Wednesday as play was suspended due to fading light at 5:40 pm local time. Seven players out of a total of 123 are yet to finish their second round. They will resume play at 6:50 am on Thursday.

Manu Gandas struck a six-under 66 to take the clubhouse lead on day one of the inaugural Trident Open, an INR 1 crore event, being played at the Chandigarh Golf Club.
The seasoned Shamim Khan, winner of PGTI’s last event Shaurya Bhattacharya and Bangladesh’s Md Somrat Sikdar were all tied for second place at four-under 68.
The first round could not be completed on Tuesday as play was suspended due to fading light at 5:30 pm local time. Twelve players out of a total of 126 were not able to finish their first round on Tuesday. They will resume play at 6:40 am on Wednesday.
