EUGENIO CHACARRA BECOMES FIRST SPANISH WINNER
Overnight leader Eugenio Chacarra of Spain, opened the final day with a double bogey and closed with a bogey-par to emerge as the 2025 Hero Indian Open winner on the DP World Tour. The 25-year-old became the first Spanish champion of the event, producing three under par rounds over four days.
Chacarra, who registered his first win on the DP World Tour, started the week with a win in the Pro-Am, and went on to shoot 70-70-73-71 for a total 4-under 284 at the DLF Golf and Country Club. He won by two shots over the defending champion, Japan’s Keita Nakajima (72).

Twenty-five-year-old Spaniard Eugenio Chacarra grinded his way to a 1-over 73 to take a one-shot lead over defending champion Japan’s Keita Nakajima (74) and South African Brandon Stone (71) after the third round of the 2025 Hero Indian Open.
Two others, England's Matthew Jordan (73) and Sweden’s Jens Dantorp (73) were another shot behind at 1-under for three days.
The top Indian was Ajeetesh Sandhu, who had two birdies in last four holes, that included the 18th, for a 74 and a four-over total. He was at the Tied-15th place, moving ten places up from his overnight Tied-25th.

Defending champion Keita Nakajima of Japan produced an electric front-nine with seven birdies and then battled it out on the back stretch to put together a 6-under 66, that gave him a share of the lead after Round 2 at the 2025 Hero Indian Open. Nakajima shared the lead with Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra, who added a second straight 70 to get to 4-under at the US$ 2.25 million event.

Marcus Armitage of England, Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts and Sweden’s Marcus Kinhult fired scores of four-under 68 to share the first-round lead at the 2025 Hero Indian Open being played at the DLF Golf & Country Club.
Indians Ajeetesh Sandhu, who carded a 69, and Veer Ahlawat, who returned a 70 and was tied second last year, were the best Indians in tied fourth and tied 10th places respectively.

Shubhankar Sharma has played Hero Indian Open every year since it came onto the DP World Tour in 2015, and has ensured weekend action each time. Sharma, who turned pro at 16, has also succeeded in keeping his playing rights on the tour since 2017.
Keeping Sharma company on the DP World Tour is Veer Ahlawat, who by virtue of winning the PGTI Order of Merit earned a DP World Tour card for this season.
