  England’s Joshua Berry caps dream week at Kolkata Challenge 2025 with playoff victory

  Nineteen-year-old Englishman Joshua Berry capped a dream week with a playoff victory at the US$300,000 Kolkata Challenge 2025, a HotelPlanner Tour & PGTI joint sanctioned event, played at the revered Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC).

  Joshua Berry (72-62-70-73), who set the course record of 10-under 62 earlier in round two, returned an ordinary one-over 73 in regulation play on the last day to total 11-under 277 along with three other players, Norway’s Andreas Halvorsen (69-66-71-71), Austria’s Lukas Nemecz (67-70-68-72) and India’s Om Prakash Chouhan (66-68-73-70).

  England teenager Joshua Berry shot an astounding 10-under 62 to break the course record and emerge joint leader along with India’s Om Prakash Chouhan at a total of 10-under 134 at the halfway stage of the US$300,000 Kolkata Challenge 2025, a HotelPlanner Tour & PGTI joint sanctioned event, being played at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC).

  India’s Om Prakash Chouhan fired an outstanding six-under 66 to hold the joint first-round lead along with Spaniard Quim Vidal at the US$300,000 Kolkata Challenge 2025, a HotelPlanner Tour & PGTI joint sanctioned event, being played at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC).

  Four-time DP World Tour winner SSP Chawrasia, playing at his home course, returned a 67 on day one to be placed tied third along with compatriot Dhruv Sheoran.

  Kolkata Challenge returns for its second edition, tournament to get underway from March 13

  The HotelPlanner Tour, Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and Royal Calcutta Golf Club (RCGC) will be jointly staging the second edition of the Kolkata Challenge.

  The tournament co-sanctioned by the HotelPlanner Tour (earlier known as the Challenge Tour) and the PGTI, carries a prize purse of US$ 300,000 and constitutes the first event in the two-week Indian swing of the HotelPlanner Tour.

  The event will be played at the historic RCGC in Kolkata from March 13 – 16, 2025. A total of 156 players from 31 different countries will be participating at the event.
