    Tournament host Jeev Milkha Singh endured a disappointing final day at the $500,000 HSBC India Legends Championship to finish in a tie for third place at the Jaypee Greens Golf Course here on Sunday.

    Joakim Haeggman (65-70-72) posted a last round of even-par 72 to emerge wire-to-wire champion with a two-shot margin at a total of nine-under 207. Haeggman thus lifted his second trophy on the Legends Tour.

    The legendary Indian duo of Jeev Milkha Singh and Jyoti Randhawa were the shining stars for India on the first day of the US$ 500,000 HSBC India Legends Championship 2024 hosted by Jeev Milkha Singh, a tournament co-sanctioned by the Legends Tour and the PGTI, being played at the Jaypee Greens Golf Resort in Greater Noida.

    The nine Indians in the fray at the inaugural HSBC India Legends Championship are all set to present a strong challenge for the trophy.

    The first Legends Tour event to be staged in India is being co-sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and will be staged at the magnificent Jaypee Greens Golf Resort in Greater Noida from August 30 to September 1. The tournament will be played over 54 holes.
