  It was double delight for Gurugram’s Veer Ahlawat on Sunday. The 28-year-old Veer, who had already sealed the No. 1 spot in the TATA Steel PGTI Ranking before the final event of the 2024 PGTI season, also stole the show with the day’s best score of seven-under 64 and a playoff victory against Amardeep Malik to clinch the season-ending TATA Steel Tour Championship 2024, an INR 3 crore event, played at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.

  Veer Ahlawat (67-68-68-64) prevailed over Amardeep Malik (67-64-71-65) on the second playoff hole after the two players were tied in first position at 17-under 267 at the end of the regulation 72 holes.

  Yashas Chandra M S of Mysuru made his way to the top of the leaderboard with a flawless five-under 66 in round three of the INR 3 crore TATA Steel Tour Championship 2024, the TATA Steel PGTI’s season-ending event, being played at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.

  Yashas (69-64-66), who was overnight fifth and four shots off the lead, climbed four places on Saturday as his total reached 14-under 199. Yashas, yet to win a title, enjoyed a slender one-shot lead.

  Udayan Mane (67-65-68), two-time winner of the TATA Steel Tour Championship, signed for a steady 68 to move up two spots to second position at 13-under 200.

  Saarthak Chhibber moves into sole two-shot lead with sizzling 64 on day two

  Saarthak Chhibber of Delhi moved into a sole two-shot lead at 13-under 129 after returning a sizzling seven-under 64 in round two of the INR 3 crore TATA Steel Tour Championship 2024, the TATA Steel PGTI’s season-ending event being played at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.

  Delhi’s Saarthak Chhibber, Chandigarh’s Aadil Bedi and Sri Lankan N Thangaraja shot scores of six-under 65 to be joint leaders after round one of the INR 3 crore TATA Steel Tour Championship 2024, the TATA Steel PGTI’s season-ending event being played at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.

  The four players tied for second place at five-under 66 were Pune’s Rohan Dhole Patil, Shamim Khan of Delhi, Bengaluru’s M Dharma and Jamal Hossain of Bangladesh.

  Tata Steel Group & PGTI to host Tata Steel Tour Championship 2024

  The Tata Steel Group and PGTI will be hosting the Tata Steel Tour Championship at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses in Jamshedpur from December 19 to 22, 2024. The tournament offers a prize purse of INR 3 crore, the biggest on the PGTI. The field will feature an elite field of 62 professionals.

  The Tata Steel Tour Championship is the season-ending event of the 2024 Tata Steel PGTI season. The tournament is a 72-hole stroke-play championship and there will be no cut applied.
