It was double delight for Gurugram’s Veer Ahlawat on Sunday. The 28-year-old Veer, who had already sealed the No. 1 spot in the TATA Steel PGTI Ranking before the final event of the 2024 PGTI season, also stole the show with the day’s best score of seven-under 64 and a playoff victory against Amardeep Malik to clinch the season-ending TATA Steel Tour Championship 2024, an INR 3 crore event, played at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses in Jamshedpur.
Veer Ahlawat (67-68-68-64) prevailed over Amardeep Malik (67-64-71-65) on the second playoff hole after the two players were tied in first position at 17-under 267 at the end of the regulation 72 holes.

The Tata Steel Group and PGTI will be hosting the Tata Steel Tour Championship at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses in Jamshedpur from December 19 to 22, 2024. The tournament offers a prize purse of INR 3 crore, the biggest on the PGTI. The field will feature an elite field of 62 professionals.
The Tata Steel Tour Championship is the season-ending event of the 2024 Tata Steel PGTI season. The tournament is a 72-hole stroke-play championship and there will be no cut applied.
