Gurugram’s Sunhit Bishnoi shot a three-under 69 in round three to move into the lead at nine-under 207 at the Rs. 1 crore Vizag Open 2023 being played at the East Point Golf Club (EPGC) in Visakhapatnam.
The 22-year-old Sunhit’s (69-69-69) third straight 69 meant he was well-placed to take a shot at his second title as he enjoyed a slender one-shot advantage over second-placed Akshay Sharma (67-68-73) of Chandigarh.

Chandigarh’s Akshay Sharma came up with the performance of the day, a four-under 68, in windy conditions during round two of the Vizag Open 2023 to take a three-shot lead at nine-under 135 at the East Point Golf Club (EPGC) in Visakhapatnam.
Gurugram-based players Sunhit Bishnoi and Shivendra Singh Sisodia as well as Bengaluru’s Trishul Chinnappa, carded scores of 69 to occupy tied second place at six-under 138.

The overnight rain could not play dampener to the opening round of the Vizag Open 2023 as PGTI’s first ever event at the magnificent East Point Golf Club (EPGC) in Visakhapatnam had a delayed start on Wednesday but the exciting golf on display set the tone for the rest of the week.
Kolkata’s Mohammad Sanju established the early lead with an exhilarating six-under 66 at the Rs. 1 crore event.
