  Frenchman Ugo Coussaud takes the top honours with last round 67; Aman Raj finishes as best Indian in tied sixth

  Frenchman Ugo Coussaud took the top honours with a gallant final round of five-under 67 at The Challenge 2023 presented by KGA, a US$300,000 event played at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course in Bengaluru.

  The 30-year-old Ugo Coussaud (68-67-68-67), who was overnight tied sixth and four off the lead, came from behind in dramatic fashion on Friday to triumph by one shot at a total of 18-under 270 at the event co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour and PGTI.

  Ugo’s first win on the Challenge Tour earned him a prize money cheque of US$48,000 (INR 39,84,000) took him from fifth to first position in the Challenge Tour Road to Mallorca standings.

  Dutchman Lars Van Meijel emerged as top contender after storming into a two-shot lead with an error-free five-under 67 in round three of The Challenge 2023 presented by KGA, a US$300,000 event being played at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course in Bengaluru.

  Van Meijel (66-66-67), a winner on the Challenge Tour who was lying overnight third, two shots behind the lead, took his total to 17-under 199 on Thursday to take pole position at the event co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour and PGTI.

  Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick seizes the halfway lead, Kartik Sharma is highest-placed Indian in tied fourth

  Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick seized the halfway lead with a second straight seven-under 65 at The Challenge 2023 presented by KGA, a US$300,000 event being played at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course in Bengaluru.

  Fitzpatrick (65-65), who was overnight tied second and one off the lead, took his total score to 14-under 130 in round two to lead by one shot at the event co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour and PGTI.

  Spain’s Ivan Cantero Gutierrez (66-65) occupied second place at 13-under 131 while Dutchman Lars Van Meijel (66-66) was in third position at 12-under 132.

  Germany’s Michael Hirmer shot a sizzling eight-under 64 for the first round lead at The Challenge 2023 presented by KGA, a US$300,000 event being played at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course in Bengaluru.

  Divyanshu Bajaj posted an impressive 65 to be the best-placed Indian in tied second place at the event co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour and PGTI. German Philipp Katich and Englishman Alex Fitzpatrick shared the second spot with Bajaj.
