  Steady Sachin Baisoya posts wire-to-wire win to take home maiden trophy

  Career-best tied second for Harsh Gangwar, rookie and PGTI debutante Varun Chopra too claims tied second

  Delhi’s Sachin Baisoya posted a wire-to-wire win to take home his maiden trophy at the Rs. 1 crore TATA Steel PGTI Players Championship 2023 presented by Tollygunge Club, the opening event of the season.

  Sachin’s (64-66-65-69) long-awaited victory came as a result of a steady final round of one-under 69 that took his total to 16-under 264 and helped him prevail with a two-shot margin.

  Harsh Gangwar (66-64-67-69), another Delhi-based golfer, who had turned professional last season, finished a career-best tied second as his last round of 69 saw him end the week at a total of 14-under 266.

  Consistent Sachin Baisoya breaks away into two-shot lead with a 65 in round three

  Delhi’s Sachin Baisoya carried his consistency into the third day as he broke away into a two-shot lead with a five-under 65. Sachin, searching for his maiden title, tallied 15-under 195 after the penultimate round of the Rs. 1 crore TATA Steel PGTI Players Championship 2023 presented by Tollygunge Club, the opening event of the season.

  Delhi’s Sachin Baisoya followed up his excellent six-under 64 in round one with a solid four-under 66 in round two to continue on top of the leaderboard even as Harsh Gangwar, another Delhi-based golfer, joined the former in the lead after producing a 64 on day two of the Rs. 1 crore TATA Steel PGTI Players Championship 2023 presented by Tollygunge Club, the first event of the season.

  Baisoya (64-66) and Gangwar (66-64) were tied at the top with matching totals of 10-under 130.
