  Amateur Aryan Roopa Anand registers thumping six-shot victory at TATA Steel PGTI Qualifying School 2023

  Runner-up Karan Pratap Singh finishes as best professional; Thirty-four players earn full cards for 2023 season

  Bengaluru-based amateur Aryan Roopa Anand (64-63-65-68) carded a last round of two-under 68 to end up as the wire-to-wire winner with an impressive six-shot margin at a total of 20-under 260 at the Final Qualifying Stage of the TATA Steel PGTI Qualifying School 2023 held at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata.

  Twenty-one-year-old Aryan thus became the first amateur in six years to win the PGTI Q School. The last amateur to win the Q School was Dhruv Sheoran in 2017.

  Faridabad’s Karan Pratap Singh (68-65-65-68) finished as runner-up at 14-under 266 after he too returned a final round of 68.

  Bengaluru amateur Aryan Roopa Anand (64-63-65) maintained his overnight six-shot advantage with an error-free five-under 65 as his total moved to 18-under 192 after round three of the Final Qualifying Stage at the TATA Steel PGTI Qualifying School 2023 being played at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata.

  Aryan Roopa Anand storms into six-shot lead with brilliant 63 in round two of Final Qualifying Stage

  Bengaluru-based amateur Aryan Roopa Anand stormed into a six-shot lead at 13-under 127 following his brilliant second round of seven-under 63 at the Final Qualifying Stage of the TATA Steel PGTI Qualifying School 2023 being played at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata.

  The quartet comprising Bengaluru’s C Muniyappa, Faridabad’s Karan Pratap Singh, Pune’s Pranav Mardikar and Nepal’s Sukra Bahadur Rai were tied second at a total of seven-under 133.

  The cut went at five-over 145. Out of a field of 126, the top 81 players including 13 amateurs made the cut.
