Gaganjeet Bhullar saw it home with a hard-fought four-under-68 despite a bumpy ride on the final day of the TATA Steel Tour Championship 2020 in Jamshedpur. Bhullar, who totaled an outstanding 24-under-264 for the week, thus collected his 10th trophy on the PGTI and first in nine years on the tour.
The final round of the Rs. 1.5 crore event was witness to an absorbing contest as Kapurthala’s Bhullar, Bengalureans Chikkarangappa and Khalin Joshi, Kolkata’s SSP Chawrasia and Noida’s Amardeep Malik were all in the lead or joint lead at different stages.

A three-way tie at the top between Gaganjeet Bhullar, SSP Chawrasia and Amardeep Malik has nicely set up the final day of the TATA Steel Tour Championship 2020 being played at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses in Jamshedpur.
Kapurthala-based Bhullar and Kolkata’s Chawrasia, both winners on the European Tour and Asian Tour, as well as Noida’s Malik, a two-time winner on the PGTI, ended the penultimate day of the Rs. 1.5 crore event with matching totals of 20-under-196.
While Gaganjeet raised his hopes with a determined third round of 64, SSP and Amardeep too continued to be in contention with rounds of 68 and 67 respectively on Saturday.

The Tata Steel Group and PGTI will be hosting the Tata Steel Tour Championship at the Beldih and Golmuri golf courses in Jamshedpur from December 17 to December 20, 2020. The event offers a handsome prize purse of Rs 1.5 crore and will feature a field of 125 professionals.
The Tata Steel Tour Championship will be the seventh event of the 2020-21 Tata Steel PGTI season.
