  Lahiri eclipses Shamim in playoff to win title

   

  Anirban Lahiri of Bengaluru gave himself a great birthday present one day before his 26th birthday when he eclipsed Shamim Khan of Delhi in a playoff to win the PGTI Players Championship being played at the Oxford Golf & Country Club in Pune. The two players headed for a playoff after being tied at the top of the leaderboard with total scores of 10-under-278 at the end of the regulation 72 holes.   Shamim Khan shines in round three to emerge leader

   

  Shamim Khan of Delhi carded a resolute four-under-68 to emerge leader in round three of the PGTI Players Championship being played at the Oxford Golf & Country Club in Pune. Shamim’s total moved to 10-under-206 after his superb third round effort. Rahil Gangjee of Kolkata returned the day’s best score of five-under-67 to be placed second. Gangjee is now breathing down Shamim’s neck with a nine-under-207 total.

  Rashid & Shankar on top at halfway stage

   

  Delhi’s Rashid Khan and Kolkata’s Shankar Das share the lead after round two of the PGTI Players Championship being played at the Oxford Golf & Country Club in Pune. Rashid shot a five-under-67, the day’s joint best score, to join Shankar Das at the top of the leaderboard at seven-under-137. Shankar fired a two-under-70 on Wednesday.

  Shankar Das posts a gallant 67 for the first round lead

   

  Shankar Das of Kolkata posted a gallant five-under-67 in difficult weather conditions to grab the first round lead at the PGTI Players Championship being played at the Oxford Golf & Country Club in Pune. Md Zamal Hossain Mollah of Bangladesh is two strokes off the lead in second place.
