Shiv Kapur closed round 3 of the US Open in tied 23rd place, 12 shots off the lead. Kapur, the highest-placed Asian in the field, on course to achieve best-ever result by an Indian at the US Open.
Shiv Kapur became the second Indian after Jeev Milkha Singh to make the cut at the US Open after an even-par-70 in round 2. He was placed tied 33rd at three-over-143.
Shiv Kapur qualified for his maiden US Open after finishing tied fifth in the International Sectional Qualifier in England; He is now set to make his third Major appearance at the 2014 US Open
