Vinod Kumar's team emerges victorious at Pro-Am event of Golconda Masters Golf Championship 2016

The Pro-Am event of the Golconda Masters Golf Championship 2016 served as the curtain-raiser for the tournament’s second edition which begins on Thursday, February 25, 2016. The Pro-Am event played at the Hyderabad Golf Club on Wednesday was won by Delhi-based professional Vinod Kumar’s team.

The Pro-Am was played in the Texas Scramble format where the team’s best ball was chosen on every shot including the putting green.

Professional Vinod Kumar led his team to victory with a score of 52.3 points. Vinod’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Sanath Malreddy, Mr. Krishna Guduru and Mr. Ajay Reddy T.

Bengaluru-based professional C Muniyappa and his team finished second with a score of 53.1 points. Muniyappa’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Ritesh Daga, Mr. Venkat Ravilla and Mr. Rakesh Vadlamudi.

The prize for the longest drive on hole no. 5 was won by Mr. K Sanjay whose drive landed at a distance of 270 yards.

The prize for the closest to the pin on hole no. 7 was won by Mr. A Bhaskar Reddy who landed his shot within three feet and four inches of the pin.

The prize for the straightest drive on hole no. 12 was won by Mr. Ashok Reddy N who landed it at a distance of four inches from the centre of the fairway.
