Bhullar, Gangjee make good starts in Malaysia

Gaganjeet Bhullar opened with a four-under-67 to be the best placed Indian in round one of the Maybank Championship in Malaysia.
 
Bhullar was placed tied 16th, three shots behind leader Nathan Holman of Australia at the US$ 3 million event jointly sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour. Gaganjeet made six birdies and two bogeys en route his 67.

Rahil Gangjee produced a three-under-68 to lie tied 20th. He came up with five birdies and two bogeys during his round.

SSP Chawrasia and Rashid Khan were joint 102nd with scores of 73 while Chiragh Kumar shot a 74 to be tied 122nd.

Himmat Rai (75) was tied 135th, Arjun Atwal (76) and Jeev Milkha Singh (76) were both tied 144th and Shiv Kapur (81) was 155th.
