Lahiri secures tied seventh at UBS Hong Kong Open

India's Anirban Lahiri secured tied seventh position at the UBS Hong Kong Open after posting a one-over-71 in the final round on Sunday. Anirban totalled 10-under-270 for the week.

England's Justin Rose won the US$2 million event with a four-day total of 17-under-263.

Anirban Lahiri, who was overnight third, four off the lead, was not able to mount a final day challenge. The Asian Tour Order of Merit leader traded three bogeys and two birdies, ruling him out of a possible eighth win on the region's premier Tour this week.

“I just felt like I ran out of gas today and didn't have much energy left in the tank. I'm obviously disappointed with how I finished, because there were a lot of World ranking points this week, and this gave a few away,” said the Indian.

Gaganjeet Bhullar came up with a final round 70 to take a share of 13th place at eight-under-272. Rahil Gangjee's 69 placed him tied 18th at seven-under-273.

Jeev Milkha Singh, who ended round three in tied fourth thanks to two rounds of 65, slipped to tied 24th in round four as a result of his 74 on Sunday.

Jyoti Randhawa and SSP Chawrasia were both tied 59th at one-over-281.
