Mr. Uttam Singh Mundy, Director, PGTI, said, “We are delighted to begin the second half of the 2015 PGTI season at the magnificent Rambagh Golf Club, Jaipur. The PGTI returns to the Rambagh Golf Club after a four-year gap and we expect an exciting week as the top players in the country resume their campaigns for the Rolex Player of the Year race.”

Rambagh Golf Club, the premier golfing venue of Rajasthan, is a challenging Par 70 championship course with a yardage of 6259. The course is strategically designed on a sandy loam soil and picturesquely located with a nice scenic beauty. Moving around the course, one is afforded with a view of the Rambagh Palace Hotel, Moti Doongri Fort, Nahargarh Fort and the Birla Planetarium.

Bangalore’s Khalin Joshi, a winner on the PGTI this year, who is currently, placed third in the Rolex Rankings, said, “I’m extremely excited about playing my first professional event at the Rambagh Golf Club. The course is in great shape. The driver holds the key here and it’s also important to play the par-3s well. There’s a premium on hitting the fairways as the rough is up. The par-5s also present scoring opportunities. I’ve worked hard on my short game in recent months and therefore come into this week with a lot of confidence.”

Local favourite Vishal Singh, said, “I feel I have the advantage of local knowledge this week. I’ve been struggling with an upper back injury for the past six months and therefore haven’t played up to my potential so far this season. Playing in home conditions this week is a huge incentive for me to perform well.”
