Khalin Joshi lies tied seventh at halfway stage in Bangladesh, 15 Indians make the cut

Anirban Lahiri is tied 46th at Irish Open

Khalin Joshi was the highest-placed Indian at the halfway stage of the Asian Tour's Bashundhara Bangladesh Open. Joshi shot scores of 71 and 68 to rise from overnight tied 20th to tied seventh at three-under-139. He trailed the leader Mardan Mamat of Singapore by six shots.

A total of 15 Indians made the cut of three-over-145.

Amardip Sinh Malik who had posted a four-under-67 in round one to be tied third, slipped to tied 14th on day two after a round of three-over-74. Chiragh Kumar and Himmat Rai also shared the 14th spot at one-under-141.

Ajeetesh Sandhu, Sujjan Singh and Om Prakash Chouhan were in joint 25th at even-par-142.

M Dharma was tied 35th at one-over-143 while Rahil Gangjee, Sanjay Kumar and Manav Jaini were a further shot behind in tied 42nd place.

Abhinav Lohan, Angad Cheema, Shubhankar Sharma and Chikkarangappa were all in tied 55th place at three-over-145.

Among the Indians who missed the cut were Rashid Khan (146), Abhijit Singh Chadha (147), C Muniyappa (147), Shankar Das (147), Vikrant Chopra (147), Digvijay Singh (149), Harendra Gupta (150), Feroz Ali Mollah (152) and Randhir Singh Ghotra (153).

At the European Tour's Irish Open being played in Northern Ireland, Anirban Lahiri posted a two-over-73 to be tied 46th in round one. Jeev Milkha Singh's 76 placed him tied 112th while Shiv Kapur carded a 78 to be tied 137th.

Three players who are not already exempt and who finish in the top-10 at the Irish Open will secure places at this year's British Open.
