Shubhankar Sharma leads at the halfway stage of the ICTSI Riviera Classic

Jeev Milkha Singh lies tied 50th at Nordea Masters

India's Shubhankar Sharma (70-67) returned in the morning with a bang by completing his second round with a four-under-67 to take a one-stroke lead in the second round of the ICTSI Riviera Classic on Friday.

The Indian had his round disrupted at the inaugural US$ 60,000 Asian Development Tour event after inclement weather caused almost three hours of play to be lost and eventually suspended due to fading light in the evening yesterday.

Shubhankar followed up his first round of 70 with a 67 in round two to take his total to five-under-137. Sharma made five birdies and a bogey in round two.

The Filipino trio of Albin Engino, Charles Hong and Robert Pactolerin are in tied second place at four-under-138.

Elsewhere, at the European Tour's Nordea Masters in Malmo, Sweden, Jeev Milkha Singh's opening round of one-under-71 placed him tied 50th. He was five shots adrift of the joint leaders Jens Dantorp of Sweden and England's Eddie Pepperell.

Shiv Kapur shot a four-over-76 to be tied 133rd.
