The introduction of the Race to DP World India Championship brings a new rhythm to the season, with the DP World PGTI calendar now aligned more closely with the DP World Tour calendar. The season will conclude with the DP World India Championship, which takes place at Delhi Golf Club from October 15–18, 2026. The US$4 million DP World India Championship will therefore not only be the biggest event on the calendar but also the stage where the 2026 DP World PGTI Order of Merit Champion will be decided. This means every shot, every leaderboard position and every ranking point in the closing stretch of the season carries even greater significance.

So, What Is the Race to DP World India Championship?

The Race to DP World India Championship is a new competition introduced by DP World and DP World PGTI for the 2026 season. It has been designed to create a clear and compelling pathway to the DP World India Championship while putting greater emphasis on performance and consistency throughout the closing stages of the season. The Race determines, The 24 DP World PGTI players who qualify for the DP World India Championship 2026 , The 2026 DP World PGTI Order of Merit Champion and The Top 60 players who retain their playing rights for the 2027 DP World PGTI season. The Final Race Before the DP World India Championship

The Race to DP World India Championship will conclude with the inaugural Kapil Dev Invitational Tour Championship, scheduled to be played at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida, from September 30 to October 3. The tournament will be the final DP World PGTI event before the DP World India Championship. And its significance goes beyond the tournament itself. At the conclusion of the Kapil Dev Invitational Tour Championship, two important milestones will be confirmed, The Top 24 in the Race to DP World India Championship standings will earn their spots in the DP World India Championship 2026. The Top 60, The Top 60 players on the DP World PGTI Order of Merit will retain their playing rights for the 2027 DP World PGTI season.
