Gaganjeet opens with a one-under-71 at Joburg Open

Gaganjeet Bhullar was in tied 92nd place after round one of the Joburg Open, a European Tour event. Bhullar, the lone Indian at the event, fired a one-under-71 in the opening round. Playing at the East Course of the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club, Gaganjeet made four birdies and three bogeys.

The four-way lead was shared by the Scottish duo of Alastair Forsyth and Craig Lee, South African Justin Walters and Italy's Edoardo Molinari at seven-under.

Three players, who have not already qualified and who finish in the top ten at the Joburg Open, will secure places in The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool from 17-20 July.
