Lahiri shoots a steady three-under-67 to be placed tied 19th in round one of Fort Worth Invitational
At the PGA Tour's Forth Worth Invitational being played in Texas, USA, India's Anirban Lahiri opened with a three-under-67 to be placed tied 19th, five shots behind leader Kevin Na of the United States.
Lahiri had a sensational start to the week as he birdied the first three holes. He added another birdie on the ninth to make the turn at four-under. Anirban then marked his card with two bogeys and a birdie on the back-nine to close with a 67 at the Colonial Golf Course.
Shubhankar Sharma, the other Indian in the field, who currently leads the Asian Tour money list, signed for a three-over-73 to be tied 102nd.
At the European Tour's BMW Championship in England, India's SSP Chawrasia returned a two-over-74 in round one to be tied 93rd.
Elsewhere, at the Japan Golf Tour's Mizuno Open, Rahil Gangjee posted a first round of two-over-74 to be tied 65th.
At the Asian Development Tour's Betagro Championship, Himmat Rai was placed tied 31st at two-under-70 after round one. M Dharma was tied 50th at one-under-71.
