Shubhankar Sharma misses the cut by two shots at the Masters after his second round of 74

Twenty-year-old Indian star Shubhankar Sharma, who made his Major debut at the Masters this week, battled tooth-and-nail but was still unsuccessful in making the cut at the Augusta National Golf Club.

Shubhankar, the European Tour Race to Dubai leader, followed up his first round of five-over-77 with a two-over-74 in round two to total seven-over-151 at the halfway stage and thus miss the cut by two strokes.

Sharma had two bogeys on the front-nine and therafter couldn't recover ground as he came up with just a solitary birdie against a bogey on the back-nine.
