Chawrasia moves into tied second, trails by one in Denmark

India's SSP Chawrasia stayed bogey-free for the second consecutive day at the European Tour's Made in Denmark as a three-under-68 moved him to within one shot off the halfway lead on Friday.

The 39-year-old Chawrasia, who opened his campaign with a 67, trailed leader Steve Webster of England in tied-second place on seven-under-135 at the Himmerland Golf and Spa Resort.

“Coming back bogey free always feels good and to do it for two days, especially on a day when it was so windy was even more satisfying,” said Chawrasia, who finished tied-ninth at Made in Denmark in 2014.

Chawrasia, who was recently nominated for the prestigious Arjuna Award by the Indian government, is chasing for his fifth European Tour title and first on European soil at Made in Denmark.

Gaganjeet Bhullar missed the cut by one shot as his two-round total read one-over-143.

Elsehwere, at the PGA Tour's The Northern Trust being played in Old Westbury, New York, Anirban Lahiri missed the cut as his halfway total stood at nine-over-149.
