Lahiri rises to tied ninth at Wyndham Championship
Gangjee is tied 10th at Fiji International
Indian star Anirban Lahiri signed for a second round four-under-66 to trail leading duo Ryan Armour and Webb Simpson of the United States by four shots at the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship on Friday.
After starting his campaign with a solid 65, the 2015 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion fired five birdies against a bogey to grab a share of ninth place on nine-under-131 at the Sedgefield Country Club, located in North Carolina, United States.
Anirban made three tap-in birdies in round two.
Arjun Atwal, the other Indian in the field, missed the halfway cut set at three-under-137 by four shots.
At the European Tour’s Fiji International, India’s Rahil Gangjee (69-72-70) gained two places and moved up to tied 10th after his third round of two-under-70. Gangjee’s five-under-211 total placed him five shots behind the leader Wade Ormsby of Australia.
Shubhankar Sharma moved up 22 places to tied 36th after his third round of 69. His total read one-under-215.
