Lahiri closes week with a disappointing 78

Anirban Lahiri ended his campaign at the 99th PGA Championship with a disappointing seven-over-78 at the Quail Hollow Club on Sunday.

He had nine bogeys and two birdies on the last day which saw him finish at 15-over-299 in 75th place.

“Well I was beaten by Quail Hollow and hopefully I can come back and make it up,” said Lahiri. “Well my driving this week was great and I found a lot of fairways except on the last day, when nothing worked and it kept slipping away. But chipping and putting were a major letdown.”

American Justin Thomas grabbed his first Major with a final round of 68 that took his total to eight-under-276.
