Chiragh, Shiv, Chikka occupy tied eighth after round two of Yeangder Heritage

The Indian trio of Chiragh Kumar, Shiv Kapur and Chikkarangappa S occupied tied eighth position at three-under-141 at the halfway stage of the Asian Tour's Yeangder Heritage.

The Indians were three shots off the pace as the lead was shared between Thai golfers Natipong Srithong and Danthai Boonma and Korean Yikeun Chang at six-under-138.
 
Chiragh Kumar's (73-68) second round four-under-68 powered him from overnight tied 33rd to tied eighth place. Chiragh, a winner on the Asian Tour, made an impressive seven birdies against three bogeys on Friday to make his move on the leaderboard.

Shiv Kapur (71-70) moved up two spots from his overnight tied 10th thanks to his 70 on day two.

Chikkarangappa (69-72), who was in tied second after round one, slipped six places in round two as a result of his 72.

Himmat Rai's (76-67) second day score of 67 helped him take a massive leap from 60th to tied 18th place.
   
Among the other Indians who made the cut, were Khalin Joshi and Rahil Gangjee, both in tied 45th at two-over-146 and Sujjan Singh in tied 57th at three-over-147.

At the European Tour's Volvo China Open, SSP Chawrasia made the cut as he was tied 53rd at one-under-143. Jeev Milkha Singh missed the cut by two shots as he totalled one-over-145.
