Arjun Atwal moves into top-10 at Panasonic Open Japan

India's Arjun Atwal fired a third successive two-under-69 to move up one spot into tied 10th at six-under-207 in round three of the Panasonic Open Japan.

He trailed the leader, Junggon Hwang of Korea, by four shots at the event co-santioned by the Japan Golf Tour and the Asian Tour.

Atwal, the only Indian to win on the PGA Tour, drained six birdies at the expense of four bogeys during his third round at the Chiba Country Club on Saturday.

SSP Chawrasia (two-over-215) and Gaganjeet Bhullar (five-over-218) were placed tied 58th and 60th respectively.

At the PGA Tour's Valero Texas Open, India's Anirban Lahiri (69-75) was placed tied 64th at even-par-144. He followed up his opening round of three-under-69 with a three-over-75 in round two to slip 45 places.
