Shamim Khan and team win the Pro-Am event of Pune Open 2017

The Pro-Am event of the Pune Open 2017, played at the Poona Club Golf Course, was won by Delhi-based professional Shamim Khan and his team.

The Pro-Am was played in the Medal Round Stroke Play format where the professional’s score was compulsory along with the best nett score of one amateur.

PGTI member Shamim Khan led his team to victory in the Pro-Am event on the basis of a score card playoff on the last three holes. Shamim’s team accumulated a score of 127 and comprised of amateurs Mr. K K Dani, Dr. V T Date and Mr. Samir Biwalkar.

PGTI member Arjun Singh of Delhi helped his team finish second with a score of 127. Arjun’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Ajay Kapur, Mr. Vivek Tuljapurkar and Mr. Prakash Chitale.

The prize for the closest to the pin on hole no. 2 was won by Dr. V T Date whose shot landed 20 feet and 11 inches from the hole.

The Incredible India Closest to the Pin contest on hole no. 16 was won by Mr. Janak Advani whose shot landed 9 feet and 1 inch from the hole.

The prize for the straightest drive on hole no. 14 was won by Mr. Dhananjay N Date who landed it at a distance of two inches from the centre of the fairway.
