Jeev Milkha Singh makes early exit in matchplay stage of World Super 6
Anirban Lahiri finishes tied 64th at Genesis Open
Jeev Milkha Singh, who had fought his way into the top-24 in round three of the ISPS Handa World Super 6 in Perth, made an early exit in the matchplay stage on Sunday.
Jeev lost his first matchplay encounter to Australian David Bransdon on the first extra hole. Jeev had recovered twice after being a hole down in the six-hole format. However, he finally went down in the first hole of the sudden death tie-breaker.
Jeev thus finished tied 20th in the overall standings at the event jointly sanctioned by the European Tour, Asian Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia.
Elsewhere, at the PGA Tour's Genesis Open, Anirban Lahiri (70-67-76-73), who was tied seventh at the halfway stage, stumbled to tied 64th at two-over-286 after his last two rounds of five-over-76 and two-over-73.
