Chiragh Kumar, Shubhankar Sharma take tied fourth in Bangladesh, Khalin Joshi & Udayan Mane also finish in top-10

Indian duo of Chiragh Kumar (68-70-68-68) and Shubhankar Sharma (64-68-72-70) took a share of fourth place at the Asian Tour’s Bashundhara Bangladesh Open after finishing with totals of 10-under-274. 

Khalin Joshi (69-70-71-66) in ninth at eight-under-276 and Udayan Mane (71-68-68-70) in tied 10th at seven-under-277, were the other two Indians who also finished inside the top-10.

Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand bagged the title with a comfortable four stroke margin at 17-under-267 while PGTI member Md Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh was the runner-up at 13-under-271 on his home turf, the Kurmitola Golf Club.

Siddikur (71-66-68-66) fired a five-under-66 in round four to move up one spot from overnight tied third. His runner-up finish is the best result produced by a local player in the tournament’s history.

Chiragh Kumar also gained one spot from the previous round ending the tournament in tied fourth after carding a 68.

Shubhankar, on the other hand, slipped two places from his overnight second place as a result of his fourth round of 70. It was his second straight top-10 of the current season following his tied ninth in Myanmar last week. Sharma had also posted a tied 11th in Singapore two weeks back.

Khalin Joshi’s 66 helped him climb six places as he closed the week in ninth position.

Udayan Mane returned a 70 to be tied 10th.

Rashid Khan (68) ended the tournament in tied 13th at six-under-278.

M Dharma, Mukesh Kumar and Honey Baisoya were all tied 32nd at one-over-285.

Jeev Milkha Singh was tied 57th at seven-over-291 and Sujjan Singh was tied 65th at 10-over-294.
 
At the European Tour's Dubai Desert Classic, Anirban Lahiri (69-75-70-68) finished tied 19th at six-under-282.
