Shubhankar Sharma bags tied 11th at Singapore Open

Anirban Lahiri leapfrogs to tied 13th at CareerBuilder Challenge

Shubhankar Sharma (69-68-72-70) posted the best finish among the Indians at the SMBC Singapore Open. 

Shubhankar bagged tied 11th place at five-under-279 after he carded a one-under-70 in the final round of the US$ 1 million event jointly sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour.

The tournament was won by Thailand's Prayad Marksaeng who totaled nine-under-275.

Shubhankar's final round 70 pushed him up seven places from his overnight tied 18th position.

Gaganjeet Bhullar (68-69-71-72) was the second Indian to finish inside the top-20. Bhullar, lying tied 12th after round three, closed the week in tied 18th at four-under-280.

Shiv Kapur was tied 51st at three-over-287.

Elsewhere, at the PGA Tour's CareerBuilder Challenge being played at La Quinta, California, India's Anirban Lahiri (69-72-64) stormed into tied 13th at 11-under-205 after a blistering third round of eight-under-64.

Lahiri's bogey-free third round helped him rise 56 places from his overnight tied 69th position.

At the European Tour's Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, India's SSP Chawrasia finished tied 70th at two-over-290.
