Arjun Atwal finishes tied 29th in Hong Kong, retains Asian Tour card

SSP Chawrasia finishes sixth on Asian Tour Order of Merit

Arjun Atwal's final round of one-over-71 at the European Tour & Asian Tour joint sanctioned UBS Hong Kong Open saw him end the week as the highest-placed Indian in tied 29th at three-under-277.

The tournament was won by Australian Sam Brazel who totaled 13-under-267.

Atwal, who slipped 10 places on the final day, managed to retain his Asian Tour card at the season-ending event as he added US$16,628 to his season's earnings to close the year in 54th place on the Order of Merit.

While Gaganjeet Bhullar finished tied 45th in Hong Kong at even-par-280, Shiv Kapur was a further two shots back in tied 54th.

Chawrasia finishes sixth in Asian Tour Order of Merit 

SSP Chawrasia claimed sixth position in the 2016 Asian Tour Order of Merit. SSP, a winner of two events in 2016, posted season's earnings of US$517,467.

Gaganjeet Bhullar, who also won two events this year, clinched ninth place. Rahil Gangjee took 17th place.

The eight other Indians who finished inside the top-65 and earned exemptions were, Rashid Khan (26th), Chikkarangappa (27th), Shiv Kapur (34th), Chiragh Kumar (37th), Jyoti Randhawa (38th), Jeev Milkha Singh (43rd), Shubhankar Sharma (51st) and Arjun Atwal (54th).
