Gaganjeet Bhullar takes massive leap of 406 places in world rankings, now ranked 268

Here’s a look at some of the interesting stats relating to Gaganjeet Bhullar’s win at the Shinhan Donghae Open 2016:
• Gaganjeet’s sixth win on the Asian Tour, overall seventh international victory.
• Moves up to 268 in the Official World Golf Ranking, from last week’s 674. A massive leap of 406 spots.
• Moves up from 61st to 10th place in the Asian Tour Order of Merit with season’s earnings of US$ 243,462.
• His first Asian Tour victory since the Indonesia Open 2013, a gap of two years and 10 months.
• The second Indian to win the Shinhan Donghae Open after Jeev Milkha Singh who won it in 1994.
• The second Indian victory in an Asian Tour event in Korea after Jeev Milkha Singh’s win at the Philip Morris Asia Cup 1996.
• Bhullar has now posted victories in six different countries – 2 wins in Indonesia and 1 each in Thailand, India, Chinese Taipei, Macau and Korea.
• The 72nd international win for India.
• The 56th Asian Tour title for India
• The 40th overseas victory for India.
• The first overseas win for an Indian since Anirban Lahiri’s Maybank Malaysian Open triumph in February 2015, a gap of one year and eight months.
• The second international and Asian Tour win for India this year following SSP Chawrasia’s Indian Open triumph.
• Bhullar’s 16th professional win.
