Lahiri finishes tied 24th at Porsche European Open
Gangjee tied 33rd at Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup
India's Anirban Lahiri, returning to competitive golf after a one-month break, claimed an encouraging tied 24th place at the European Tour's Porsche European Open.
Lahiri, who last played at the Rio Olympics before taking a month-long break to nurse some minor niggles, shot scores of 68, 68 and 67 at the par-71 Golf Resort Bad Griesbach course to end up with a tournament total of 10-under-203.
The tournament was curtailed to three rounds due to the thick morning fog on each of the first three days.
Anirban's final round of four-under-67 featured an eagle, five birdies and three bogeys and pushed him up nine places from his overnight tied 33rd.
The event was won by Frenchman Alexander Levy who defeated Englishman Ross Fisher in a playoff. Both the players had earlier ended the regulation 72 holes with matching scores of 19-under-194.
Elsewhere, at the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour co-sanctioned Asia-Pacific Diamond Cup, the Indian duo of Rahil Gangjee (two-over-282) and Himmat Rai (six-over-286) finished tied 33rd and tied 52nd respectively.
