Aman Raj and team win Pro-Am event of PGTI Ahmedabad Masters presented by Kalhaar Blues & Greens 2016
The Pro-Am event of the PGTI Ahmedabad Masters presented by Kalhaar Blues & Greens 2016 was won by Patna-based professional Aman Raj and his team on Saturday. The leading amateur golfers from Ahmedabad competed at the Pro-Am event.
The Pro-Am was played in the team scramble format where the team’s best ball was chosen on every shot including the putting green. After the best ball was chosen all other players were to place their ball within One Club Length (on the putting green within One Score Card Length) before continuing play. Each team consisted of one professional and three amateurs.
PGTI member Aman Raj led his team to victory with a score of 54.8. They won on the basis of a countback. Aman Raj’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Pranav Kapdia, Mr. Deepak Shah and Mr. Rajpal Dalal.
PGTI member Om Prakash Chouhan’s team finished runner-up with a score of 54.8. Mhow-based Chouhan’s team comprised of amateurs Mr. Ravi Dalal, Mr. Atul Verma and Mr. Divya Ahuja.
The prize for the closest to the pin on hole no. 7 went to Mr. Jay Pandya who landed it within one feet and 11 inches of the pin.
The prize for the straightest drive on hole no. 9 went to Mr. Vivek Goenka who landed his drive on the centre line.
The prize for the longest drive on hole no. 17 went to Mr. Siddharth Sharma who came up with a drive of 342 yards.
