Rashid Khan posts second round 65 to rise to tied 39th in Switzerland

Rashid Khan posted a creditable five-under-65 in round two of the European Masters to rise 69 places to tied 39th.

Khan, who had carded a 73 in round one, totaled two-under-138 at the halfway stage, to lie seven shots behind the lead at the European Tour and Asian Tour joint-sanctioned event.

Rashid, whose opening round was marred by two double bogeys on Thursday, came back strongly in round two as he sank eight birdies against three bogeys.

Arjun Atwal (71-69) was the only other Indian to make the cut. Atwal made the cut by one shot as he totaled even-par-140 to be tied 65th.

Among the Indians who missed the cut, were Chiragh Kumar (two-over-142), Himmat Rai and SSP Chawrasia (both five-over-145) and Jyoti Randhawa (seven-over-147).
