Lahiri & Jeev begin their U.S. Open campaign today after bad weather delays start on opening day

The Indian duo of Jeev Milkha Singh & Anirban Lahiri could not start on the weather-interrupted first day of the US Open at Oakmont, Pennsylvania.

Jeev and Anirban will now begin their first round on Friday at 1741 hrs & 1803 hrs Indian Standard Time (IST) respectively.

On Thursday, three weather suspensions interrupted the first round of the 116th U.S. Open Championship for more than four hours before play was officially halted for the day at about 1630 hrs local time.

Of the 156 players scheduled to play, only nine completed their opening round, and the afternoon session comprising of 78 players never started.

American amateur Scottie Scheffler was the overnight clubhouse leader at one-under-69.
