Jaipur Open 2018 to tee off on September 4

Prize purse of Rs. 30 lakhs

Field to feature leading professionals Jyoti Randhawa, Shamim Khan, Chiragh Kumar, Honey Baisoya, Udayan Mane, Mithun Perera, N Thangaraja

The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), Rajasthan Tourism and the Rajasthan State Sports Council will be jointly staging the Jaipur Open 2018 presented by Rajasthan Tourism. The second edition of the tournament, carrying a prize purse of Rs. 30 lakhs, will be played at the Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur from September 4th – 7th, 2018. The Pro-Am event will be played on September 8th.

Hotel Hilton Jaipur is the hospitality partner for the event while WION is the official news partner and DNA is the print partner.

The tournament will feature some of the top professionals of the South Asian region such as Indians Jyoti Randhawa (a winner of nine international titles and former Asia No. 1), Shamim Khan (2017 PGTI Order of Merit champion), Asian Tour regular Chiragh Kumar, Honey Baisoya (a double winner on the PGTI this year and currently ranked 2nd on the PGTI Order of Merit), Udayan Mane and Syed Saqib Ahmed (both winners on the PGTI this year), as well as Sri Lankans N Thangaraja and Mithun Perera (also winners on the PGTI this year).

The Jaipur-based professionals in the field are Vishal Singh, Hemendra Choudhary, Nikhil Singh, Mahesh Yadav, Yogendra Kumawat and Rishi Raj Singh Rathore. The field also features Jaipur-based amateur Prakhar Asawa.

Rambagh Golf Club, the premier golfing venue of Rajasthan, is a challenging Par 70 championship course with a yardage of 6303. The course is strategically designed on sandy loam soil and has a picturesque location with beautiful surroundings. Moving around the course, one is afforded with a view of the Rambagh Palace Hotel, Moti Doongri Fort, Nahargarh Fort and the Birla Planetarium.
