CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Shankar Das finished joint runner-up at the TATA Steel PGTI Players Championship 2019 presented by Chandigarh Golf Club.

Shankar won the Kensville Open 2017 presented by PGTI and thus took 16th place on the 2017 PGTI Order of Merit. His other top finishes in the season were third at the Kolkata Classic and tied third at the PGTI Players Championship at Noida.

Das registered eight top-10s in the 2016 PGTI season including a tied second at the Kolkata Classic. He was placed 16th in the 2016 Rolex Ranking.

Shankar finished 10th in the 2015 Rolex Ranking. In the 2015 PGTI season, he won the IndianOil Servo Masters and finished runner-up at the PGTI Players Championship at Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur. He also posted four other top-10s.

Das was the 2014 Rolex Player of the Year after he topped the Rolex Ranking. He won the year-ending McLeod Russel Tour Championship, was runner-up at the Surya Nepal Masters, BILT Open and IndianOil Servo Masters Golf and also bagged five other top-10s in the 2014 PGTI season.

A win at the PGTI Players Championship at Panchkula along with four other top-10s placed Shankar ninth in the 2013 Rolex Rankings. He also bagged top-20s at the SAIL-SBI Open and Indian Open in 2013.

Shankar was ninth on the 2012 Rolex Rankings with four top-10s to his credit. He ended tied fifth and tied sixth at the Asian Tour’s Panasonic Open India and SAIL-SBI Open respectively.

Das won the PGTI Players Championship presented by Poona Club Ltd. and the IndianOil XtraPremium Masters in the 2011 season. He also had two other top-10s the year including a joint runner-up finish at the PGTI Players Championship in Chandigarh.

Shankar had a fabulous season in 2010 as he won the IndianOil XtraPremium Masters, finished runner-up at the PGTI Players Championship at the Willingdon Sports Club and posted four other top-10s. He thus finished 11th on the Rolex Rankings in 2010.

Das’ best results in 2007-08 were tied third place at the Tamil Nadu Open Golf Championship and joint fourth position at the 6th TATA Open.
