Samarth Dwivedi secures tied eighth at PGM Port Dickson Championship

India's Samarth Dwivedi secured tied eighth place at the Asian Development Tour's PGM Port Dickson Championship in Malaysia on Saturday.

Dwivedi, one of India's leading amateurs till last year who is also a rookie on the PGTI this year, posted scores of 71, 67, 69 and 69 at the par-71 Port Dickson Golf & Country Club to end up with a tournament total of eight-under-276.

Samarth finished six shots behind eventual champion Panuwat Muenlek of Thailand.

Feroz Singh Garewal (2-under-282) and Aman Raj (two-over-286), the other two Indians to make the cut, finished tied 32nd and tied 46th respectively.
