Lahiri tied ninth after penultimate round in Texas; Stares at season's best finish on the PGA Tour

Chawrasia claims tied 27th at BMW PGA Championship

Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri shot a two-under-68 to be tied ninth after the third and penultimate round of the US$6,700,000 Dean and Deluca Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.

The 28-year-old, who on Saturday completed Friday's unfinished second round and made even-par-70, had a three-day total of seven-under-203. He was five strokes behind the leader Jordan Spieth of the United States.

The PGA Tour rookie had played 12 holes on Friday when play was halted due to poor weather conditions.

The Bengaluru golfer mixed five birdies with three bogeys in the third round.

The world No.56, who recently earned his place at this year’s US Open, is now staring at his best finish in the United States this season.

Meanwhile, at the European Tour’s BMW PGA Championship being played in England, SSP Chawrasia claimed tied 27th place at one-under-287 after his final round of one-over-73.
