Himmat, SSP, Chiragh shoot scores of 68 to be joint 14th in Thailand

The Indian trio of Himmat Singh Rai, SSP Chawrasia and Chiragh Kumar shot scores of four-under-68 in the opening round of the True Thailand Classic to take a share of 14th place.

The lead was held by American Peter Uihlein who returned an eight-under-64 on day one of the US$ 1,750,000 event co-sanctioned by the European Tour & Asian Tour.

While Himmat made six birdies against two bogeys on Thursday, Chawrasia and Chiragh came up with five birdies and a bogey each.

Arjun Atwal was a further stroke behind in tied 27th.

Shiv Kapur and Rashid Khan occupied tied 41st after recording scores of 70.

Rahil Gangjee carded a 72 to be tied 81st while Gaganjeet Bhullar and Jeev Milkha Singh posted scores of 73 to be tied 104th.
