Slow start for Indian duo at US Open

The Indian duo of Shiv Kapur and Anirban Lahiri had a slow start on the opening day of the US Open 2015 at Chambers Bay.

While Kapur was placed tied 52nd, following a two-over-72, Lahiri occupied tied 123rd position as a result of his five-over-75.

The lead was held by Swede Henrik Stenson and American Dustin Johnson at five-under-65.

Kapur posted three birdies against five bogeys in round one and Lahiri traded two birdies with five bogeys and a double-bogey.
