Rahil Gangjee claims tied 11th at AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open after final round 66
Rahil Gangjee (67-70-74-66) claimed tied 11th place at the inaugural AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open thanks to his final round of five-under-66. The Indian finished with a tournament total of seven-under-277 at the event co-sanctioned by the European Tour, Asian Tour and Sunshine Tour.
South African George Coetzee defeated Dane Thorbjorn Olesen in a playoff to win the US$ 1.1 million event after the two players ended regulation play tied on 13-under-271.
Gangjee's final round of 66 featured six birdies and a lone bogey and helped him jump 25 positions from his overnight tied 36th place.
Gaganjeet Bhullar, the other Indian to make the cut, secured tied 44th place with a total score of two-under-282. He shot a three-under-68 in the final round.
