Lahiri produces bogey-free five-under-66 to make a move in round three at RBC Heritage
Kapur in tied 29th at Shenzhen International
Anirban Lahiri (73-69-66) produced a fine five-under-66 in round three of the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage to move up 40 places from his overnight tied 67th to tied 27th place. Lahiri's five-under-208 total placed him nine shots behind the leader Troy Merritt of the United States.
The Indian star's bogey-free effort in round three was his best of the week as he made an eagle and three birdies en route his 66.
Anirban, who made his debut at the US Masters last week, earned his first birdie of the day on the par-5 second where he made a two-on two-putt. Lahiri then turned on the heat with a chip-in for eagle on the par-5 fifth.
The two-time European Tour winner then followed up his brilliant drive with an equally good approach shot to set up a 10-feet birdie putt on the 11th which he converted. Lahiri was in trouble with his first two shots on the 15th, another par-5, but recovered well with a 23-feet birdie putt.
At the European Tour's Shenzhen International, Shiv Kapur (69-74-70) moved up one place to tied 28th after his third round of two-under-70 which featured four birdies and two bogeys. Kapur's total of three-under-213 placed him nine shots behind the leader Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand.
