Khan, Randhawa off to flying starts at Chiangmai Golf Classic

The Indian duo of Rashid Khan and Jyoti Randhawa got off to flying starts at the Chiagmai Golf Classic with opening rounds of four-under-68. Khan and Randhawa were two off the lead in joint fourth place. The lead was shared by Thailand's Sattaya Supupramai and Indonesian George Gandranata at six-under-66.

While Rashid produced a bogey-free round, Jyoti mixed six birdies with two bogeys on day one.

Chikkarangappa and Chiragh Kumar returned scores of 69 to be the next best Indians in tied 11th.

M Dharma also enjoyed a good outing in round one. His 70 placed him tied 19th.

Shubhankar Sharma, who finished fourth at last week's Panasonic Open India, occupied toed 34th place along with fellow Indian Abhijit Singh Chadha at one-under-71.

Among the other Indians in the field, Jeev Milkha Singh (72) was joint 48th, Rahil Gangjee (74) was tied 74th and Himmat Rai (77) was tied 120th.
