Good start for Shiv, Jeev at Scottish Open
Shiv Kapur posted a two-under-69 in the opening round of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open to be tied 13th. He trailed the leader Rory McIlroy of Norther Ireland by five strokes. Jeev Milkha Singh was a further shot behind Shiv in tied 24th place.
Gaganjeet Bhullar, the third Indian in the field, fired a four-over-75 to be tied 118th.
Three players, who are not already exempt and who finish in the top ten at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, will secure places in The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool from 17-20 July.
