Shubhankar Sharma ends tied sixth at ICTSI Riviera Classic
Jeev and Shiv make the cut at Nordea Masters
Shubhankar Sharma (70-67-72-72) bagged a tied sixth finish at the Asian Development Tour’s ICTSI Riviera Classic. Shubhankar fired a one-over-72 in the final round to end up with a total score of three-under-281. Sharma finished eight shots behind the winner Elmer Salvador of The Philippines.
This was 17-year-old Shubhankar’s second top-6 finish of the 2014 Asian Development Tour season. Sharma, who recently became the youngest winner on the PGTI, has now climbed from 28th place to 20th position on the Asian Development Tour Order of Merit.
Elsewhere at the European Tour’s Nordea Masters in Sweden, Shiv Kapur and Jeev Milkha Singh made the cut.
Shiv Kapur (76-68) made a strong comeback in round two after his opening round of 76. His second round 68 took his total to even-par-144 and pushed him up from overnight tied 133rd to tied 43rd. Kapur trailed the joint leaders Frenchman Victor Dubuisson, Englishman Eddie Pepperell and Spaniard Alvaro Quiros by six shots.
Jeev Milkha Singh (71-74) followed up his opening round of 71 with a 74 on day two to drop from overnight tied 50th to tied 62nd as his total moved to one-over-145.
